Coaches’ Corner May 25, 2025 Greetings, Barracuda Nation. 

Every Sunday, the coaches will send out an email (also posted on the website) with information for the week ahead. 

(1) Assessments For families interested in having their swimmers assessed for our Little Cuda program, coaches will be at the pool from 12-4 on Sunday and Monday. The LC program is for all swimmers who cannot make a lap of the pool yet. The assessment is just an informal swim assessment to find the right group for your developing swimmers. We will open the LC program for registration on Tuesday morning. 

(2) Practice Schedule. Until school dismisses, we will swim after school. 

13 and overs from 4:15-5-15pm

8 and unders from 5:15-6 

9 and 10 from 6-7 

11 and 12 from 7-8 

Remember that we share the pool with the community during our afternoon practices. We will have the eight lanes, and the deep end, shallow end and baby pool will be open to all. 

(3) Back to Swim Night On Friday, May 30, I will host an information session for all parents for the first 15-20 minutes of each age group’s practice. I will outline the program, discuss competition and answer any questions. Parents will also be there to discuss any questions you might have about our team. We will be selling pizza, too. See the website, under the tab “Meets and Events” for more information. 

(4) Weather This week could be a bit cold and stormy. Coach Cameron and I were at the pool yesterday, and the water temp was pretty cold. Forecasts for the week ahead look a bit stormy. We only post if we cancel. Please check our website if the weather is bad before heading to the pool.
