Ridgewood Barracudas

Address and Parking Information

• The Ridgewood Barracudas home pool is: Ridgewood Pool, 12350 Oakwood Drive, Woodbridge, VA 22192
• 3 spaces in the pool parking lot will be marked for Visiting Coaches and 2 additional spots are for Visiting VIP team members. 
• We have 4 handicapped spots. Please contact the team president or volunteer coordinator if you need more handicap parking.
• Most of the parking in the pool lot is reserved, so visitors will need to park along Oakwood Drive or other side streets.
• There is a strict NO PARKING policy on Old Bridge Road and in the field next to the pool. 

What to Bring

• Coaches tent
• Starter system fully charged as we will use it during the meet. Please set it up at the turn end of the pool next to the coaches' tent.
• As many officials as you can (at least 4). We will alternate referees & starters.
• Stop watches (just in case, we should have enough, but you can never be too sure). 
• Computer and Printer

Set Up Notes

• No cars are allowed to drive up to the pool. All equipment and tents must be unloaded and pulled up the sidewalk to the pool. 
• Per our HOA guidelines, visitor set-up is not allowed until the morning of the meet.

Volunteers Needed for a Dual Meet

• We run 2 shifts: 7-9:30am, 9:30-End of meet
• We need visitors to provide the following volunteers:
  • 4 recorders per shift (lanes 2/4/6/8)
  • 12 timers per shift (8-lane pool)
    • 2 timers for lanes 1/3/5/7
    • 1 timer for lanes 2/4/6/8
  • 3 Clerk of Course per shift
  • 2 Computer Support/Verifiers per shift
  • 1 Ribbons Volunteer per shift 
  • 1 Marshall for second shift (9:30-end of meet)

Warm-ups and Morning Briefings

• Ridgewood Barracudas Warm Up - 6:05 - 6:25 am
• Visitors Warm Up - 6:30 - 6:50 am
• Officials' Meeting - 6:30 - 6:50 am
• Timers' Meeting (MANDATORY) - 6:45 - 7:00 am
• Meet Begins - 7:00 am

Additional Notes

• We sell concessions (breakfast and lunch menu) throughout the meet.
• An electronic copy of the heat sheet will be provided to your team and is available on the Barracudas website.
• Please no towels or shoes at Clerk of Course.
