Coaches Corner for June 8
Morning, Barracuda Nation.
(1) FIRST MEET
The first meet was an overwhelming success. Thanks for all your patience as we navigated weather delays and meet sheet changes. We had over 20 swimmers compete in their first ever summer meet with us, and nothing makes us happier than welcoming new swimmers and their families into the family.
(2) WEEK AHEAD
This is our final week of afternoon practices. Things are going well as we share the pool with the community. Please remember to supply your swimmers with water bottles, to be kept with them on deck, for all practices from here on out. Also, on Friday, we will celebrate the end of school with ice cream from 5-6pm on deck.
(3) MEET at WELLINGTON
Please make sure that you let us know your status for the Wellington meet on Saturday, June 14. Theirs is a 10 lane pool, so things will much quickly. You can visit their SwimTopia site for more information. Click on Meets and Calendar and then Visitor Guide."

(4) SWIMTOPIA APP
Many parents have asked me about the SwimTopia app. I don't have kids on the team, so my app looks much different that yours. I would have you ask other parents for their experiences. I know that there is a free version, and I know that it will allow you to see heats and lanes for your swimmers.
(5) EVENTS, HEATS and LANES
We will publish the meet sheet as a pdf on the website as soon as we complete it (Friday afternoon). Please "mark" your swimmers, especially if they are under 10. Include their event numbers, heats and lanes. It would be best if you could do this before going to the meet. On the sign-in board, we will not post heats and lanes, just event numbers.
(6) LOOKING AHEAD
We switch to mornings next Monday, June 16. We welcome our Little Cudas (A) to the pool. Also, we will invite parents to swim with us for coached practices. You can RSVP on the site.
Thanks
Coach John
